    From my little experience deleting items increases the probability of getting a 'random check' but doesn't guarantee it.

    From what I've seen the staff don't see the prices of items on the scanner when they are doing a check, only how many additional items they need to check. So as long as they don't see 1p flash up on the screen you should be fine.

    I've been checked with trolleys of 1p items, they didn't notice or didn't care if they did. Tesco staff aren't exactly the brightest or most observant after all.

    I got a call from them just ten mins ago saying they listened to original call and I was misinformed. Therefore they will pay for local surveyor. There might have been an apology someplace she was so sheepoish I felt sorry for her.

    Very surprised that they backed down. I will believe it when I see the cheque.
