My competition cash fund has finally reached the dizzying heights of £200 and I'd like to purchase some kind of portable internet comping device.
I am very out-of-the-loop when it comes to modern technology, so, does anyone recommend the device they have, specifically with a view to using it to enter competitions whilst my daughter snoozes in the back of the car.

Tabletty thingies aren't great as an all round tool for comping, due to not being able to handle flash media very well, if at all. and their inability to properly display web pages sometimes.
You're better off with a small netbook running windows IMO, though I'm sure others will disagree.0 -
i have tried using a tablet for comping but found it very time consuming and frustrating. i use my netbook and i didnt pay much over £200 for it.0

I was going to say small laptop / netbook as well... A lot of them - like the tablets - have in car chargers available as well (not necessarily made by manufacturer, but try Amazon), which is useful, if using in the car0

Perhaps combine both, a tablet with a temovable keyboard such as asus transformer but if you like I can ask techohubby for good particular recommendations?MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

I have to say I found it quicker to comp on my ipad to be honest! the only thing that let me down there was the fact some fb app comps didn't work as the ipad doesn't have flashplayer that lots of fb apps use - its the touch screen I find valuable for quick comping. I have a touchscreen laptop now (still have my ipad and still do use it) but I won a touchscreen laptop so do spend a lot of time on it now (its great!) so now I really do feel like I have the best of both worlds the couple of things that are quicker on a laptop are paired with the things I can do that is quicker using touch screen and I whizz through comps now at superspeed!
If you really do want a tablet device I would steer towards an android one that has flashplayer - like a Samsung galaxy tab (you can get a Samsung galaxy tab 3 (the latest one) on amazon at the moment for £111 <
that's a good price!!! all four of my boys have a Samsung galaxy tab and they love them! (my eldest 2 boys have had theres for a good couple of years now and we have never had a prob with them ever! :TApril 2014: A CAR!!!!!! :j 60th Anniversary Edition of Playboy mag signed by Hugh Hefner/Family pass to Twinlakes Family Theme Park/Rio 2 Goodies/£15 Promod Voucher/Nivea Sensitive Prize pack/John Frieda Cosmetic bag and bits/Tickets to New Kids On The Block + Meet and Greet0 -
After a with. Of some cashi treated myself toa Nexus7. Its great for basic comps but FB apps rarely load.
However the 'click to win' dailies are easier as the Nexus has a vice activated part on the keyboard. The vice recognition is excellent.
Other things I like are the swipe to type on the keyboard. It's also easy to hold in portrait it's as wide as your palm.
BUT I wouldn't want to use it all the time and agree with others that a small netbook would be better. I've got a Dell laptop that I bought from their outlet site. Top of the range for under half price. Thanks to those that post the comps!!

How exactly do you operate it:eek:"If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. Open the click to win page you want, click into the captcha box, then On the keyboard there is a microphone, click on it and speak what the capture is. It'll fill the box (sometimes it'll miss hear!) Then click on enter.
Oh bum... Just realised it didn't say voice!!!Thanks to those that post the comps!!
