Should I transfer to LGPS
Comments
-
Do those years' service count as LGPS 2008 years or 2014 years? 2014 has a retirement age of state pension age so you'd presumably be getting an actuarial reduction if you went at 65?
The quotation is clearly for LGPS 2008 given it talks of years membership bought.
OP - if you want to do it, I'd get in (very) quick otherwise the transfer calculation may have to be redone under LGPS 2014 terms, in which case instead of a service credit against your final salary you'll get a fixed amount of extra pension that gets revalued by CPI each year. The latter may however still be worthwhile of course...0
