    The quotation is clearly for LGPS 2008 given it talks of years membership bought.

    OP - if you want to do it, I'd get in (very) quick otherwise the transfer calculation may have to be redone under LGPS 2014 terms, in which case instead of a service credit against your final salary you'll get a fixed amount of extra pension that gets revalued by CPI each year. The latter may however still be worthwhile of course...
