3 Months in - some questions...

We're now 3 months into our BR and things have been quiet with no further word from the OR since the initial phone interview and paperwork returned.
Imagine my surprise when I received a letter from the IS today which says that my trustee is applying to be released and enclosing a statement of his payments and receipts.
Am I right in thinking that this means he's finished looking into my affairs and has satisfied himself with respect to my financial affairs?
My wife also went BR on the same day but had no phone interview with the OR as he only asked me questions. Do you think it is likely she will receive a similar letter in the near future?
If this does mean he's satisfied wrt my finances is it the case that if nothing changes between now and discharge day I'm unlikely to hear from the IS again?
If so, is it too soon to start cleaning my credit files?
Sorry for all the questions....
All my friends and neighbours helped me pack and move for free, at first I was happy until I got told no one liked me and they just wanted to make sure I left. Thanks Mum and Dad.

    Hi Smokey Joe

It certainly sounds as though your trustee may have reached the conclusion that there is nothing else of use to be gained from spending any more time on your case. Were there any assets to be sold off? Is there any likelihood of an Income Payment Agreement being set up?

Please note that the letter you have received does not mean you will get an early discharge from the bankruptcy. That possibility no longer exists for bankruptcy orders made since 1 October 2013, so your discharge date will be no earlier than 12 months from that date of the bankruptcy order.

    Regards

Should your circumstances change and you come into assets before discharge or start getting non benefit income, then you have a duty to tell the OR. Apart from that, more or less done and dusted then.

It's no big deal that your OH hasn't got a letter. Some people do. Some people don't. There doesn't seem to be 100% consistency on that, even in the same IS office.

No point cleaning your credit files until a month or two after discharge.

Thanks for that Fermi, OH got her letter today so hopefully done and dusted for both of us.

Thanks fiveyearplan. I'll make a note in my diary for nearer the time.
