me chickens too big for me pot!

have a smallish slow cooker and was going to cook a chicken in it tonight, it won't go flat n the cooker, so i was going to place it at an angle. husband says it won't cook. is he right? this sounds like a silly wind up question but when you've finished laughing, i'm serious:confused:

    Serious answer... give it a go. Personally, I think it will cook. BUT... if I'm wrong, you can always finish it off in the oven. I'm certain it will cook though.

    Using kitchen scissors or a very sharp knife try cutting off the parsons nose, (the pointy lumpy bit). then cut off the wing tips and the bits at the end of the legs. then cut out the wish bone by using a sharp knife and your fingers to carefully feel where the wishbone is and carefully cut around it, give a twist and it will come out.

    result a much smaller and flatter chicken which will probably fit into your slow cooker.

    Will try to find pictures to show what I mean.
