Skipton DIP Unsuccessful.

I'm after some advice if I may, we have just applied for a DIP with Skipton online and it was unsuccessful.
I think this is due to putting down our Buy To Let properties.
They are self funding, over 125% rent.
We pass the affordability criteria and are looking for an 85% remortgage for a personal home extension, the DIP application will have put a footprint on our record and don't want to screw it up with any more searches.
Only other outstanding loan is for a personal loan for a car with 2 years to run.
Current lender is Nationwide, not offering great rates at the minute but as we were buying a new build at the time they were the best lender.
Thanks.
