i have got debt letters (equal to thousands of pounds) from previous addresses i have lived at but they are not my debt i know for a fact it's possible i might of let something of my details there and the people who moved in have used my name as fraud (or even a family member I lived with)

what do i need to do who can help me deal with these douches and clear my name?

do the debt collection agencies need to prove the person who took the account is me?

How have you got the letters? Have collection agencies tracked you down?

What did you do when you got the first one? You should have been setting these companies straight immediately.

You need to address this immediately. Had you moved out before the debts were incurred? Was money borrowed as if so, it would have went into an account that wasn't yours. If the debts were due to goods being purchased, who signed for them?

What about your bank account, credit cards etc? Is that the details they have?
