how many egg mix for a barbie /princess tin

i am using one of those tiffin type cake tins to make a barbie/princess cake. i am so annoyed as i made one before but cant remember how many eggs I used in the madeira mix. i know there is a way of measuring tins using a standard 8" tin and filling other tin with water but i have let someone borrow my 7 and 8 inch tins so have nothing to measure with. does anyone know??
