Need a quick bit of advice please guys.
Can I work the DMP in my name only?
If I enter a DMP with say SC and the debt is all in my name do i have to involve my wife if she lives at the same address and will she be expected to contribute by creditors?

Nothing sinister -she knows all about my plans and wants to help but as the debts all mine I want to do this myself -but just getting my head around how the DMP works!

Thanks

Hi ferry, as long as the debts are only in your name then you can. This includes overdrafts so be careful if you have one in a joint account. All debts have to be included if you are using a dmp service with sc or payplan..

  • yes, my hubby had a DMP solely in his name, as all the debts were his and we were not (and still) not financially linked, except by way of a mortgage
