I can only suggest that you take a moment to read through some of the threads on this forum, lots of ideas- some a lot more time consuming than others though.
I would also re check your £2000 estimate, NY can be surprisingly expensive to do well and you may need more than that just on accomodation and travel/meals etc when you are there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you are planning on doing a lot of sight seeing then you should invest in the New York Pass. I am not sure if thats the exact name, I remember there being a few, a quick google search should turn it up. It basically gets you into everything you coud want to do in New York for free, I think I paid around £100 for a 3 day card.
I went to the Empire State, The Statue of Liberty. Rockerfella Centre, Madame Tussads, Numerous museums including MOma and the Natural History Museum, a tour of MBC studios, a tour of madison square garden. Those are the ones I can remember, there are loads. We also got money off in loads of restaurants and also took advantage of 30% off a helicopter trip over the new york skyline. It saved us a ton of money and we could just do anything we wanted!0 -

£2000 - Easily doable by earning from home.
I am doing £600 this month and am already at £576 so I recon you can do this with a bit of motivation and finding the right method.0
