Agreed to settle with Moorcroft and now they've disappeared

Hi
I agree a settlement figure of £410 on a £460 account (not much but far better in my pocket than theirs), my only request was a letter stating that the account was closed and that neither they nor anyone else would ever chase me for the remaining 50.
A letter eventually arrived and said 'neither we nor our client will attempt to recover the remainder' - call me paranoid but that wasnt quite the wording i was hoping for and i asked for it to be adjusted. A couple of weeks passed and i had heard nothing so called them - apparently they had to go back to the original client who have to agree to the letter being reworded. Seemed odd to me but i thought fine i'll wait.
That was about three weeks ago and still no word. I begrudge spending money on further phone calls to chase this especially when i am hardly trying to dodge payment.
It re-enforces my thought that they were planning to sell on the remainder which seems hardly worth it for a mere £50?
Any tips as to any next move or just leave it in their hands?

I'm waiting on a confirmation letter from Moorcroft too.
Made a couple of F&F offers to them, then they called and we agreed a figure. The guy I spoke to was very helpful, and said all the right things (i.e. no-one would chase for remainder, I'd be free of liability, credit file entry would be marked as settled, etc.) so I asked that he put everything he'd just said in a letter, then I'd make a payment.
No-one's been particularly speedy at getting back to me on settlement offers (apart from Empingham), I think they just drag it out a bit because once the settlement's made they'll be getting no more money from you.0
