Yeah, i phoned to check with the customer service team but the woman at the branch seemed quite specific about the fact that direct debits could not be set up, i was told that an application for the flex would be rejected since the system requires correct answers to the various questions including the IVA BR etc.0

Nationwide seem to be completely lacking consistency about this still.
Their head office says BR's can still have the account.
Most branches still seem to be allowing the Flex account to BR's, while a few others are (rightly or wrongly) refusing it.

I have the flex account and I have direct debits and standing orders set up, will be interesting to see what happens next week when I go BR... crossing my fingers I can keep it!0
