Nose cauterization

Has anyone had their nose cauterized with Silver Nitrate.
Going to have mine done later this afternoon and after reading some side effects I'm wondering whether it's worth it.
Does it initially hurt and did anyone have any side effects?

Cauterisation DOES hurt - but you can't ask for medical advice on the forums, so thats about all I can say on the matter. If you're unsure, ring the clinic who are performing it and they will talk through the process and answer any concerns you have.0

They will apply a local anaesthetic sorry first
They advise to avoid HOT hot food and drink and spicy foods for 7 days, and usually to apply some Vaseline or naseptin to help keep the scab soft
