Even without substitutions (to the best of my knowledge) all online grocery services reserve the right toarge the store price on the date of delivery and not on the date of the order.

Sainsburys make that clear. If there is an offer on it will say "for delivery by....date."

It also mentions this in terms and conditions too.

Its rare offers are pulled but They do happen usually when supplier failed to provide stock but the same will happen in store as well its not just online. So any promotion people see and come into the store to get will have the same problem.

Sainsburys charge for the order on the day of delivery. They dont take payment when you order. (Asda puts a hold on your money so you cant use it) I like the sainsburys way, as you can order for delivery on payday for example. But most people dont read terms and conditions.

I bet if I put in terms and conditions that everyone must pay £10 to a charity of my choosing unless they offer the driver a drink I promise I will be donating thousands by the end of the week.
