Credit check will be passed at DIP stage.

    Speak to the lender beforehand.

Alternatively speak to a broker, chances are they can not recommend hsbc (unless you an independent broker rather than a whole of market or tied).

My main concerns are relating to credit checks and proof of income etc

You'll face these irrespective of lender.

What issues are you concerned about. A general overview may result in some answers on here.

Oh ok, so you think i would have passed a credit check then?

My only other concern in the earnings. I am self employed. Have the forms for 3 years from HRMC to say how much i earned, which i am hoping will be ok.

    Just a little worried.

    Thanks

Why don't you just fess up as to what your concern really is?

Tell us, and we might know what difference it makes - if any.

A mortgage is secured on a specific property, so you have to know what property you are buying in order to apply for the mortgage.

    It's as simple as that

There is no hidden concern other than what i have stated.

I am self employed - so im hoping the forms will be ok for the bank

And with the credit check i just did an equifax £2 jobby and all looks ok other a couple of late payments on catalouges in 2008...will this effect me ?

    Thanks

Can't ever say 100% but chances are at 5 years old they won't cause too much of a hassle with most lenders. Can't comment specifically on HSBC, as, like others have said, brokers don't have access to them.
  • HSBC are notoriously picky over self employed applicants - what are your profits/earnings over those three years?
