Sainsburys have just risen the price of Ginger wine from £3.60 to £4.00
You can get it still at £3.50 at Asda Morrisions & 1.99 at Bargain supermarket Aldi

Sainsbury & tesco are currently selling Stones ginger at £4.50 .Some of the ones bought tonight in tesco ,are iffy & defintely dont have ginger in them .1st noticed the taste ,so decided to check color;sure enough 1 was clear & the other had the tineted view ,of stone's full price product ,doubted myself only a little & looked for other codes/identifers to see if any differences & there was ,so doubted myself a little again so took the others from the shelf & did not look at the codes ,so as not to bias my thoughts , so I looked at them through the light 1st & put the ones I thought were tented on 1 side & the clear on the other. My initial suspicions were confirmed & I can only guess that Stones not tesco ,which I would usually suspect have not only been cutting the price ,but also the ginger ,as I dont think theres any at all in the clear ones.;(there going back)
Ginger wine is usually made from fortified wines ,which is what ,it seemed to taste like in the 1st place.
Dissappointed in Stones ,it will cost me some time to go get a refund, but will cost Stones more ,having to replace/reshelve a usually genuine quality product, Hope this helps some & do yourselves a favor by have a quick glance ,b4 placing in your basket.
