Experiences with Virgin/MBNA & Barclays offers of reduced payment

These two are my creditors and while I sort out my DMP with Stepchange just wantd to hear your good or horror stories when dealing with these two with reduced offers and DMP stuff etc..?

I can't speak of an experience recently but back in 2009 I was made redundant and I had a Career Development loan and they agreed to lower my payments significantly.

I understood I was still accruing interest and that once I was in a new job, I agreed to increase payments above the normal payment due to them being so understanding.

Hi, I have cards with MBNA, virgin and Barclays and all responded quickly and agreed to reduced payment with frozen interest, when I sent a letter plus details of my incomings/outgoings. That was almost 12 months ago and so far so good. It feels so great when you take control of your finances and finally the money owed figure goes down not up each month. Good luck with your DMP.
