Online bank statements....issue in waiting?

Hi all,
I bank with Barclays and whilst I was originally going to be taking a mortgage with them, their recent rate offer change means I'll almost certainly be going elsewhere and thus need to provide bank statements.
I, like many, opted for Online paperless statements. I can get at them in .pdf form whenever I want, however it's struck me this might not be enough.
The statements print with name, address, account number etc - which seems to fit the bill.
Has anyone encountered issues using printouts of Barclays online statements?

I used a mixture of online and paper statements for Santander and they seem to be ok, but then knowing my luck I will get a message back from them saying the online ones are right!!
But yeah Barclays online seem fine, My Partner banks with Lloyds and they dont print out in PDF, absolute nightmare!0 -
If you're concerned over the validity of online bank statements (although I haven't had any problems in cases I've submitted to lenders with such), pop into Barclays and they can provide you with paper statements.
Even if they tell you it might take up to 3 days; a very recent client of mine had them done there and then for an account which had been closed.0 -
So long as they have your name, address, account number and sort code you should be fine.
I have only ever had issues with online statements once but that was with a small little building society and after throwing my toys out they accepted them.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Barclays online statements are actually perfect copies of statements so should cause no issues at all.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. thanks all, that seems pretty clear and reassuring - I was aware they'd print them but there's a cost and lead time attached so I'd like to see if its necessary before undertaking it.
Anyway, thanks!0 -
I guess institutions may be reluctant to accept them as anyone with even a basic understanding of photoshop and the like can lets say edit their statements to make them look more attractive.
Not sure if some underwriters still fax them to the originating bank for confirmation of authenticity.0 -
Barclays online statements are probably the best I encounter. They do print out as perfect replica of a postal statement and I've had no issues with lenders rejecting Barclays statements.
The problems arise when clients supply print outs of screenshots or mini statements which are just a page of numbers anyone could make up in Word. Don't even bother with these.
Generally the rules are that the statement must be complete (all pages, not selective good ones !), cover 3 months, show your name, address, account number, sort code, and be legible.0 -
Great, well it seems banking with them has finally got its advantages.
Not looking forward to printing out four accounts worth of 3 months, but hey-ho!0
