Thanks Lucielle, I do find things go more smoothly if I am organised lol.

We managed to get their shoes (£96 later) DS has hypermobility so needs ankle boots so they were £58, he's a giant size 3 (which I think is big for a 8 year old lol) was pleased we managed to find some closed shoes for DD, always annoys me cos in the past they are always open at he front, which is no good when its cold or wet, and DD complained of cold feet last year, so she was very pleased to find these ones :)

I've ordered their PE trainers from sports direct, once I knew their sizes so they are on the way to us. I already have name labels, so just need to label their stuff, oh just remembered OH needs to go pick up their PE socks, they weren't in stock when we got the rest of the uniform, and he's had a call to say they are in now.

Going to set some courgette soup away in the soup maker (love it) as we have loads of courgettes from the allotment, then it's going to be a chilled out day as the weather is pants. I am well into my cross stitch and I am currently doing a map of middle earth (lord of the rings) from heaven and earth designs (I love their patterns) each ones is like 25 A4 pages long lol, once I have done a page I will post it :)

Have a good day all xx

You're on a roll with getting stuff organised! Glad you got the school shoes sorted.

And nice news about the overtime, i'm sure the extra cash will come in handy, even if you do need to miss a bit of swimming. It's not forever, and i'm sure it'll be worth the sacrifice.

Sounds ridiculous, but all i've thought about all weekend is soup! The weather has turned where I am (12 degrees yesterday morning) and i'm sitting in my home office chattering away with the cold so soup will be on the agenda this week!

I'm in Central Scotland so we're not too far apart in terms of weather! The funny thing is, when I'm moving, i'm fine. But because I'm working from home and sitting just moving my fingers for most of the day, i find myself frozen from the inside out!

My little one has been back at school for a couple of weeks now, I think he was definitely ready to get back into a routine! The summer did fly past for me though, which is surprising!

I know what you mean, once I've finished the housework I've been sitting doing cross stitch and my hands have been freezing, had to put my blanket on while I've been doing it

Aww yeah they break up earlier and go back earlier don't they? my DD is looking forward to going back to see her friends, DS isn't lol, he misses his friends but likes being at home he said lol xx

Yeah, our schools break up at the end of June and go back mid-August which was quite handy actually as we managed to catch a decent amount of the good weather.

I'm off to look at soup recipes to see what tickles my fancy for this weekend!

    Morning all

    PAYDAY woo hoo lol

Just sorted my spreadsheet out, moved money from joint account to food and petrol account and transferred swimming lesson money, I have input my wages and the bills into YNAB ready to start for sept, one of my DD's has come out today (but it's sept's payment) but I can't update YNAB yet as its not sept lol, so will see if it lets me update the money I have moved around tomorrow once sept hits lol

Not much planned today, the weather seems nice so I have a wash in and should be able to hang it out, other than that a little bit of housework/tidying to do today, and I need to label the kids new uniforms (we use stinkins, best things ever) and that's it, mam doesn't work friday's so she will probably come over for a coffee and I can hopefully get some cross stitching in

Oh and overtime is on next weekend (yay but boo lol) so I have my name down for 8 hours both days (it's time and a half on sat and double time on sunday) training for it on monday when I go in, it's the same benefit we are working on that I normally do but slightly different screens, so we need a little bit of training or we aren't allowed to work it, I hope we have it on for a while, till christmas would be good :)

Pleased with how my christmas savings are going, £450 so far (will be £550 once i've paid this months £100 in but don't want to mark if off till I've done it on monday iyswim)

Have a good day all xx

Yay! I love a fresh new month, allocating money and getting ready for the month ahead.

Your Christmas savings are going great! I'm also up to £500 and will be £600 when my saver cashes out in early November. I'll be buying little bits with our spending money in the mean time to get a head start. It won't be long until the season is upon us!
