Ok, I've been MIA for a while, my head just kinda got a bit fuzzy and I stopped being proactive about paying this debt off, we are still paying the minimums etc so we are still plodding along. But we were getting really low about how long it's going to take.
Got the lovely letter from the mortgage company to say our mortgage is dropping by £190, we have spoken to in laws, we were due to restart paying them back for the loan they paid off for us, and the have kindly agreed to give us at least another year off paying them off, so we now have at least £150 extra to overpay (OH wants to up our grocery budget from £50 a week to £60, that's for all food, toiletries, nappies etc) as we were struggling with the £50 a week.
So I am super excited and super onboard again.
I have fallen down on food planning so I really need to get that back into the picture again.
We are doing awesome on gas and electric, we've gone from spending £30 a week on both, to £15 max, so we are building up a nice credit on the account for the winter.
We are looking into the green deal as well as we have a very old back boiler, just need the £99 for the assessment first.
I have a dilemma, CC10 is the one we need to pay off first as it has highest apr, the minimum payment on it is £77 a month, however we have a next account and th balance is only £450 the minimum payment is £50 so I am tempted to pay next off first as we shoild be able to do that in two months then that will give us another £50 to put towards CC10? Making the overpayment £200, what do you guys think? XxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Yep I'd go with paying off the Next account if it can be done quickly, as a £200 overpayment will make a big difference. Good luck!!Debt Oct '13 - [STRIKE]£44,076[/STRIKE] £41,578 5.7% cleared0

Thanks guys, that's what I will do
Good news today, we've been trying really hard to get our gas and electric usage down and have done really well, I've been submitting meter readings every month as well for last three months, we got an email from them today to say they are reducing our DD from £139 to £122 (so another £17 to use on overpayments) and they are refunding us £135 yay, so that's gonna go towards overpayments as wellDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
