Customer Financial Details

I have recently been declared bankrupt. One of my conditions is that I cannot handle customer financial details. The problem is, I work in a call centre and my role involves me handling customer financial details.
What can I do?
Is it normal that terms of my bankruptcy have such a condition?

Hi,
Who gave you this 'condition' - Is it in writing?

No. I don't have it specified in writing, I recall it was mentioned during my interview.0

I have not heard of someone being treated in this way before - unless for a specific reason given in writing.
This could potentially exclude half the population from going bankrupt! - anyone in sales, account updating, suppliers of goods and services - I have done the BR of more than one serving Bank Manager - wonder how they would cope with that (yes they did keep their jobs!).
- and if it was 'handling money' then bus drivers, taxi drivers, shop assistants, etc could never go BR.

Any further restriction upon you should be clarified in writing. - I would either ignore it or attempt to clarify it.Debt Doctor, Debt caseworker, Citizens' Advice Bureau .

Sounds like an over zealous and slightly confused examiner.
An employer's policy or professional association or regulator may prohibit you from doing certain things, but as far as I've ever known it's none of the OR's business to tell you what you can or can't do in your employment.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
