Many, many cheese triangles!!!

Options
Does anyone have ANY idea what to do with 20 cheese triangles?!

My LB went through a stage of eating them daily so I went to Lidl and bought a pack of 24. Now, however, he has decided that he doesn't like them so I am left with loads and don't know what to do with them. I'm really loathe to let them go off!!

Ant ideas?

  • Iused to chop them and roll a piece of bacon over and make kebabs with sausage, mushroom, cheese and bacon roll and pineapple, they always go down a treat.

Or you could melt them into pasta with some veggies and herbs for a tasty meal
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Problem is I'm not really a fan of cheese triangles, I like the idea of putting them in pasta as a sauce base tough :D

Can you lovely peeps share any recipes/methods for doing this? I'm not a great cook (oh the shame!) although I do cook from scratch and use books.
  • My health visitor used to recommend stirring them into anything that you'd normally have cheese with - pasta sauces were a favourite. I had a very fussy DD (who hasn't changed much in 14 years :rotfl:) & she'd refuse soooo many things that there were concerns about her losing weight. HV said the extra protein in the cheese would help & I did manage to disguise it in a lot of dishes :D simply by bunging in a few triangles & heating.
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

They make a really creamy jacket potato filling

Cook your potatoes in the oven as usual. While they are cooking, fry off some bacon. Once the potatoes have cooked (and cooled slightly) scrape out the potato into a bowl. Mash the potato with some of the cheese triangles and some pepper and add in the bacon (chopped). Stuff the filling back into the potatoes and serve.
  • When I had a lot of dairylea left I made scones with some of it. I used dairylea in place of some of the butter and added cheese to make cheese scones. They were quite tasty.

I like to chop them up and stir them into cooked pasta, if they don't go all melty I pop them back on the heat for a minute. bit of black pepper and lovely creamy cheesy pasta!

Parenting is not easy. Maybe try and disguise them in other foods your child likes.

Maybe you should listen and take note of the recent advice your gave me :rotfl:

"YOU TELL HIM how it goes down, not the other way round"

"It's tough sh!te if your teen doesn't eat his packed lunch, but he'll certainly appreciate his dinner more in the evening!!! "

I recall this was the advice you gave me on how to deal with my son that did not want packed lunch on another thread !!!!!!

    Difficult One :)

Mix them with a small carton of cream to make a cheese dip.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
