    Id speak to the dealer they may let you return the car but forfeit the deposit, you say its small, Im assuming a few hundred pounds, so may be worth taking the hit now rather than paying so much more in the long run. But go in and speak to them now, the sooner you do the more chance you have of them taking it back, good luck.

    But the car will have been registered, so any buyer will be technically a second owner. This will knock the value down a lot. Is the car a desirable one for which there is a long waiting list?
    I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • iolanthe07 good point, hadn't realised it was a new car, should have read properly. Yes this may make it more difficult or impossible as there will be a greater loss in value than if the OP was returning an already second hand car.

    If it's been ordered but not received, then this may be a different story if the build slot can go to someone else/the car to someone as first RK.

    Ford were running 3 years ago at 8 weeks, Jaguar about 10weeks (21 months ago) and Land Rover 18 weeks (16months ago).
