Did anyone get an email from Chat Magazine today?

It was headed up "We Miss You"

The thing is I have been entering the weekly comps from the Mag but did notice yesterday (think it was on Pick Me up though) that you don't seem to get an acknowledgement of your entry now?

Thanks fire**fly. Do you get the confirmation after selecting the "no's" from the spammy page? I click all "no's" and then if I remember correctly it just goes to a page telling me how many more comps I can enter. Nothing saying thank you for your entry.

Yes, I got this email too and was also puzzled as to why!
I have entered comps and had confirmation on them all so this is a bit odd.

I use the 'tick no thanks' that fills them in for me
& if I get a vid I always get

I do a clean history/cache/etc every day/each time I log out of all the daily/weekly sites x

I don't enter the dailies. I only do the weekly magazine comps.

The mag daily problem of no confirmation has been discussed in other threads - you'll find if you do them in a different order and then return to Chat that you'll receive the confirmation message again. It seems to be tied to the select few entries that precede the videos each day.

I also received the email and wondered if its just a generic email to promote the site, as like Firefly I've always received confirmation on both the mag dailies and the weekly comps that are posted.

Actually another thought occurred to me ...

When the Chat and PMU comps switched to the new website, after filling in the weekly comps each week, as well as a confirmation message, if you tried to click on the particular issue again it came up with a message saying "You have already entered etc". Now the form appears again with the opportunity to fill the answer in once more.

Not saying it means anything as the old website allowed the same process (whilst only ever counting the first answers you submitted), but it is a little annoying that they leave scope for concern.
