Luck has vanished

Does anyone find their luck since the turn of the year has vanished?

I've been comping since 2011 and my luck has never been this bad, I'm only just scraping one prize a month and it's really disheartening

I'm beginning to wonder who I've !!!!ed off :(

Yep I feel the same. Last year I was getting about one really good prize a month as well as the smaller ones - stuff like an iPad, £100+ vouchers, etc etc. This year I've only had a few wins of much smaller value, this month it's just a pair of pillows and a NT pass, last month wasn't that much better.

But I'm still having fun comping so while that's the case, I'm not letting myself get downhearted. My way of thinking is that you never know what's round the corner, when the phone is going to ring or a surprise delivery is going to turn up, so just stick at it and hopefully your (and my) luck will change soon xxx

I must have really peed someone off. I lost my Dad on January 1st and have my third funeral in as many months to go to very soon. Just 2 wins so far in 2014 but I'm still plodding away. It has to change sometime......doesn't it?

I'm not superstitious at all, therefor I cant do anything to make myself unlucky or lucky. The odds are you will have dry spells, and equally wet spells. It's a bit like the UK weather :)

I've had a frustrating 2014 so far, only winning prizes which are nice but useless to me, and not transferable to other people.

Not at all -- 2014 must be my lucky year

Total prizes since 1st Jan to 24th March = £8,631.29

Can I join your club? ;)

You could say I'm a newer comper (well, since May 2013) and I wouldn't say my wins are anything on par with others on the forum be they 'old timers' (just a turn of phrase, no offence meant lol :rotfl:) or newbies.

I had a couple of nice wins on the mag dailies at the end of last year (totalling £750 in voucher spend) but despite entering tons, the advent only brought me two wins (some pens, nice ones but still!) and a pair of Clarks boots.

I must admit to getting the pang of 'it's not fair' :( when a real newbie of a couple of weeks posts in IWIWIW that they've won a gadget bundle or a holiday  - don't get me wrong, I am genuinely pleased to hear people win these lovely prizes, but I do wonder, will it ever be my turn?:p

I'll 'carry on comping' as it is a great hobby, but like mclarkie, I'm not so superstitious about it - if I was I'd start wondering how undeserving people end up winning millions on the national lottery (remember Michael Carroll anyone?).

Yep so I'm not superstitious....but, just in case, I'm sending you all a good sprinkle of comping fairy dust!!! :D

    Tenth Anniversary
I have had an awful start to the year, total of three wins so far and absolutely nothing this month. I can't complain as I have won some fantastic things over the past few years, but it does get a bit disheartening. My partner is having cancer treatment at the moment and I am always rushing to do the next days comps when we get home from the hospital so maybe I'm not putting as much effort in, just feel life isn't being very kind at the moment.
