Bleach splashes on a brown cord jacket

Hello,
I was given a lovely brown cord jacket & whilst visiting a friend got some splashes of bleach on the jacket:eek: .
The fabric where the bleach has gone has turned yellow:mad: .
So, it's a cotton lined jacket would I be able to dye it back to chocolate brown or should I splatter the jacket with bleach so that the colour of the dye would be more even IYSWIM
Also, can I ask, how do I subscribe to a thread:o ?
Thank you all for your answers

This happened to a new sweater and I found a felt tip pen the same color and disguised the marks, of course I had to redo it every time it was washed, a problem you wouldn't have with a jacket. Dying it might work as well.

  • Cotton usually takes dye quite well. I wonder if you can get fabric dye pens, to save you having to dye the whole thing?

if you splatter bleach (sounds fun) then wash the jacket as soon as the bleaching has got to the stage you want otherwise it will keep going and rot the fabric

Fabric pens might do the trick.
