I am really struggling to think of the last time I paid any real attention to the budget, perhaps it was TESSA's if they were a budget thing, but normally it's a few quid up here, a few quid down there, nothing whatsoever to pay any real heed of. :)

It's been interesting, I'm just worried about the consequences, big wins for politicians often result in consequences being kicked down the road by which time they have glowed in short term praise and luxuriate in their House of Lords allowances.

Happy as a sand lark. It will allow me to retire 2 years earlier if I wish and also save us £9k.

It is interesting that new posters are finding advantages in saving into a pension, most of which already existed before the Budget.I take that as a good thing

I can't help but feel there will be more constraints on taking pensions than the Chancellor implied .It may well be that these will be applied through regulation rather than legislation.Let's see.

95% of them are greedy and short sighted, I've got an annuity how do I cash it in seems to be the main question.

Yes, I've never seen so many posts!
Although I'm having problems finding the time to respond to many posts in between revising my own retirement planning spreadsheet - so many options!
