    included my SOA now.
  • Hey Zrazeychick,

(hope this doesn't appear twice - glitches)

My advice is not strictly moneysaving - but I was wondering if you might consider reducing some of your after work activities whilst you are stressing about your financial situation? Simplifying your life might give you a bit more energy which your job and all the travelling might be sapping. It might be that there would be some moneysaving side effects too.

    Monday - I run a Rainbow Unit
    Tuesday - I run a Guide Unit
Wednesday - I look after my cousins whilst their mum goes to Brownies.
Thursday - I do a good gym workout with my best friend.
Friday - Usually i'm travelling to Lincoln to my BF is at mine.

There are usually other meetings and stuff in there too to do with Guiding (big part in my family)

I know it might not be a major amount of money but are you claiming back all your expenses from the Rainbow and Guide units? I run a Ranger unit and claim back the cost of all my phone calls, petrol, stamps etc from unit funds. I know a lot of Guiders don't do this but you should never be out of pocket for your volunteering.

Well phone calls are either on my mobile (free mins) or on house phone (free mins) and I dont really do any driving around for the units other than going to the unit meetings.

Everything else I pay for direct out of unit funds so it doesnt even touch my money!

Thanks for the advice though :)
