Yahoo Free Email Won't Work

Hi, I set up a new account yesterday and got the "welcome to---" email. To test it I sent an email to my outlook.com account and it said "sent successfully" but not in my inbox or junk on Outlook.
Sent 2 more emails this morning to different accounts; still nothing.
Went on Yahoo Answers to ask why but, I can't submit the question ?
Any suggestions why this is ?
I'm using a Toshiba Satellite 850 with windows 8.

Your sending it to the wrong email.0

Go the other way round - send the email from your other account on Outlook to the Yahoo account, then reply back from Yahoo.0
