Hatching a Plan

Hello all,
I need a little advice or direction please.
I would like to start the journey on becoming debt free.
I have a 6 month old child and would like to obtain a mortgage in the next 5 years. Im 25.
My credit history is as follows:
Current:
Credit cards:
Aqua £1200
Capital one platinum £500
Barclay card £400
Overdraft:
£3000 with llyods tsb Student account come graduate come current.
i also borrowed some money from my father over a year ago. and pay £130pm back. i have around £700 left to pay him back.
I have one default on my record from around 1 year ago for £19 (obviosuly since paid) for a bloody o2 contract which i thought had been paid before leaving.
I have previously had pay day loans, although have not used them for around 6-8 months. and always paid. the sums were always around £100.
im guesiing my credit score is a tad below moderate.
i earn around 26-28k per year.
the ideal scenario would be to get a debt consolidation loan. i know sometimes these can cost more in grand scheme but for me i would have a clear direction to go in and know when i would be debt free.
is there a loan available for epoor-moderate credit soley for the purpose of debt consolidation?
Many Thanks

Hi,
Would be better for you not to have to keep borrowing, if you complete a statement of affairs, that will give us all a lot better idea of your income/expenditure, maybe you can make savings that can go to pay off your debts quicker ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. You have nothing to lose by writing to O2 and asking them to remove the paid default from your record as a gesture of goodwill. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.
