Facebook Invite Friends Question

Morning everyone
When you are given the option to "Invite Friends" after entering a competition, generally when you click on this button it brings up a list of your friends with a button against their name to invite them to the comp. However, some of the buttons say "Invite" and against other friends the buttons say "Request".
I wondered if maybe one meant your friend had already entered or perhaps already been invited by someone else. :think:
Does anyone actually know the difference between these two buttons?
