Mortgage application in, opening joint bank account?

We are applying for a mortgage in joint names and want to open a joint account for mortgage, bills etc something we've been meaning to do for about 4 years!
If we do it now will it affect our mortgage application because of the credit search & are we better waiting until the mortgage is (hopefully!) approved?

No applications for new credit until after the mortgage completes.
It may make absolutely no difference, but do the above if you want to be 100% sure.I am a mortgage broker. No, not until you've got the mortgage.
Until the house purchase and mortgage are completed, as in you have the keys in your hand!I am a mortgage broker.
