Small Inheritance Post BR

Hi all,
Today, I received a letter from Frasure & Frasure, the probate people you see on the TV. Anyway, The first we knew anything was about 6 months pre BR. Because of the BR and all the stress and emotion that's attached to going BR, we forgot all about it.
Like I said, today we got the letter saying we will receive a few thousand from a distant relative that passed away. In the letter, it said that 'your BrR has come to out attention' and that they require further information - to which we have duley supplied to Frasure & Frasure.
Seeing as this all started pre BR and has finished post BR, what do you think the chances of being able to keep this small amount - it would be a godsend if we could.
Many thanks.
Grumps.

The relative died prior to your bankruptcy so unfortunately the inheritance (as an asset) vests with the OR. The probate people will almost certainly pass this directly to the OR.0

It goes to your OR/trustee I'm afraid. Sorry.

Have to agree with previous two posters and as a windfall you were not expecting just accept you haven't lost anything and your unfortunate creditors will gain a little. Just put it down that you have already had the benefit of it0

Thanks for the replies. Never mind - it's money we never had so we haven't actually lost anything, which is the most important thing.Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy crap we dont need!:think:0
