When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending :money:

Hello everyone
A quiet day here too! Ziggy.
x fingers too! for your car to pass MOT. Cars are such a money pit. I gave my car to my eldest DD a few years ago. We began sharing the car and then it became hers.
Oh has a small Fiesta.
It is getting cold again for the weekend. It is the time again when the CH goes on and off.
I have been sitting in the conservatory with knitting and local radio.
Nice and warm as it is south facing.Watching the daffidols dancing in the wind.Washing blowing on the line.
Walking the dog for exercise and drinking my water. All healthy.
Not so healthy = I have baked some scones. cheese and fruit.
Will be eating a cream tea for lunch instead of a sandwich today.
Checked banking. Completing surveys. Postcode lottery. Daily free books uk for free kindle books.
Recyling is doing well.
Reusing card, washing out small plastic bags. Using tubs for seed trays. Glass food jars in recycle box
Throwing junk mail in recycle bin = not tempted to spend.
Will read the local free paper that came yesterday.
Read the Daily Mail online.
Postie has just brought my free sample of.....
Vichy - advanced filler.
Reduces the look of deep and vertical wrinkles.
Gives a happier look.
Complete moisturising effect.
Now what makes me think, they are trying to tell me I am getting older and have an aged look?
Lots of card packaging for a 5ml tube! Still! thankfull for all help :0)
Wish sp. check was working. It seems to have vanished from the bar?The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Hi all!
My 0% card arrived finally, so I'll be transferring the bulk of my smaller credit card over. And it's payday, so I'm looking forward to paying some stuff off and updating my signature!
I'm also arranging to meet an eBay buyer to pass on a sold collect-only item. He suggested meeting at the station which is nice because then I don't have to give out my address. DH will come with me tho0 -

Hi everyone, my money saving small things for today:
All meals from stores
Took water into work filled up from Brita filter at home
No spend day
School is striking one day next week and a friend has suggested doing a favour swap - if I can look after her DD in a couple of weeks, she has offered to have my DD for the strike, so no child care to pay for
Cleaned bathroom
Hoovered all carpets
Cleaned kitchen and put oven brite in oven to leave overnight and finish in the morning
Put all drying away
Another load of washing on (the pile never seems to go down?!)
No heating all day (quite nippy now, but we've all got blankets on!)
Checked PCL
Need to check bank
It's been a good day and I feel like I've achieved a lot, and better still, I haven't spent any money!SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89
