Not my debt?

Of course on the other hand, they could be genuinely determining that you are the person you say you are and not a scammer, but I doubt it.0

Hello again everyone, just received a reply from them today asking me to confirm several 'security questions' such as address, postcode and DOB. Surely if they have my DOB already they can see that the person I am claiming to be can not owe the debt regardless of whether it is actually me? Should I give them this info or carry on telling them to leave me alone and remove me from the p.c list? cheers
You are under no obligation to provide any such information. If you do (by some miracle) end up in court - enjoy the fun and just remember to bring your driving license or other accredited proof of identity and it should be all over in about 5 minutes. They will look like complete !!!!! and you will have been entertained for a few minutes. The only people who have a right to ask for the information they are requesting is a court, or the police - anyone else can swivel if you dont want to give out such details.
Continued letters and/or phone calls constitute harassment - a CRIMINAL offense, not just civil as in the case of debt.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
Meet my best friend : YNAB (you need a budget)

Thjis is of course quite correct, but I would still write in the vein I suggested, unless of course you would like a trip to the courts. :rotfl:0 -
Tell them that requiring you to provide evidence that you are not the person in question is a breach of OFT guidelines and you will be reporting them. You will also be taking them to the FOS if they don't get lost.Still rolling rolling rolling......
