Percentage of joint household outgoings

Morning folks.
Planning on moving in with my girlfriend soon and hopefully getting married in September (a low cost wedding, i hasten to add)
Currently 7 months into my bankruptcy, paying an IPA OF £113 per month as well as a NT IPA which will end this month. My question is, what % of the household bills will i be expected to pay ? My take home pay is £1,470 pcm, GF works 20 hours per week on minimum wage. She will obviously lose any HB etc she receives at the moment.

Cheers in advance

    Hello there.

The general approach is to base the percentage of the outgoings as the same percentage of the income. I'm guessing your earnings are around 75% of the total income for the household - as such your share of the essential outgoings should be this figure also.

I really hope this makes sense.

    best wishes,

    David @ NDL.
