New home, new job

Options
Hello there, basically I am wondering how soon after my house completes will I be able to take a new job that has been offered to me? Any info would be greatly received.

Many thanks.

    After completion?

The following day, if you like.

Doesn't really make any difference when. As you failing to declare a material fact.
  • If you're working your notice now, you're invalidating your offer already
So many glitches, so little time...
  • I have not formally accepted the offer, nor am I working my notice. I'm also not sure it does make a difference as none of the material facts have changed as yet!

Does it look very bad if you're new in a job?

I start my new job mid nxt month and am trying to buy a house that will be built around July. We are looking to do our application within the next week or so but by the time the house is built I will be in the new job?

Sorry to hijack the thread :( Good luck with your new house and possible new job :)
  • louiserer it is not about how it looks it is about the facts and how they affect the risk.

If you are changing jobs then you will likely be in a probation period at the new company, where you have no job security, i.e. could be sacked on the spot and some lenders will not like this as it could be classed as irresponsible to lend to someone with no job security.

Best to separate the job changes and house buying.

    Gary.

    Of course.

I think my main concern it being accepted now and then by the time our house is built being rejected because I am three months into a new job?
