My youngest son is 7, so a similar kind of age, and he is into stuff like
Lego, Superheroes (Spiderman / Iron Man / Captain America etc), Mario, and so on. When he was 6 he was still into the likes of Ben 10, Transformers, Sponge Bob but has mostly outgrown them the last year or so.

There are lots of great prizes for younger boys in the comps run by Doctor Who Adventures, Toxic magazine, Horrible Histories, Cartoon Network etc etc. Good luck!

Captain America is yet another superhero doing the rounds - check the Disney Store website as will show kind of stuff available. Bound to be a few comps coming up for that (the disney website has comps but you do need to register first).

Spider-Man is usually a big hit with the under 10s (and 30-40 yr old male :rotfl: )

Lego brilliant for the wanna be engineers or architects - various sets available

Scooter (stunt one) or a skateboard plus padding and crash helmet.

Be careful not to swamp with too many gifts so ask Mummy first if its OK to give your nephew a few wee things and save the rest for birthday and Christmas...

Could start with a small Easter gift perhaps - chocolate egg and a small toy? Remember, he's getting used to having a new Auntie so don't want to overwhelm.

The FirstNews comps are for kids, I think - not sure if some of the things might be a bit old for him, though. WeeOwens posts them - just do a search for FirstNews and lots will come up (including a couple that end today). I think they might be more designed for kids to enter themselves though?

If his mum is struggling financially as well, if you win anything largish (e.g. a Nintendo 3DS - a techy gadget all the kids seem to want at the moment...!) then I would ask her if she'd like to make it a joint gift, or even give it to him herself for birthday / Christmas.
