Colouring shampoos

I used to use henara shampoos years ago but not seen them in ages, is there anything similar on the market that works?
My hair is now halfway down my back and takes 2 boxes of dye and a load of mess if I do it at home and if I do it at the salon it's just as cheap ( I go to the college) but it takes about 3 hours and a numb bum!
I'm thinking it's easier, cheaper and probably better for my hair if I use colouring shampoos instead but which ones are any good and where to get them from? I'm not grey yet
but my hair is naturally boring brown so could do with a boost

I've been looking for something like this myself and had no luck.
The nearest thing I've found is a product that lasts through 6 shampoos.
It's by Nice 'n Easy and about £3.90 at Superdrug.
You still have to wait 30 mins though for the colour to 'take.'0 -
I use John Freida, colour toning shampoo on my hair. Ive used them for years. I'd say they enhance the colour you've got rather than deposit colour though.
Have you used the henna blocks from Lush? I used them years ago but gave up because of the mess but they did make a difference to the colour. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I tend to use the Superdrug own make wash in wash out colour shampoo. They do them in a few different shades.

Hi
I was also looking for Henara colouring shampoo and got some last
year from Amaz@n0 -
The super drug ones look good, il take a look next time I'm in town, in the meantime I've managed to source some Henara from my work of all places, had to order it in but it's cheaper than amazon
, might get the blonde one for my daughter, she's got lovely hair in different tones, I don't want to mess with it as it's all natural but she does want to dye it and this might be a good compromise

What about shops like Bodycare or Semichem? Or Home Bargains, BM, that kind of thing.
This is why I have a pixie crop - products last forever!0 -

That's what I use every second or third shampoo. It blends the grey bits in rather than covers them 100% but there's no problem with regrowth or it looking too fake.Val.0 -
Kirri found two semi-permanent natural black hair dyes for me
