Hi i need some advice please, we are being hassled off the above over items we have from them, most have over 2/3 paid off and we have one thing which is newish, we have run into money troubles and asked for help off them but was told no and the threats began, umpteen calls a day and visits all times of the day, and now tonight im presuming it was a bailiff or someone from there company in a van who has given us default notices on what we have, like i said most of the things are almost paid but they still say they will get there items back from us, im classed as disabled and my partner looks after me along with our 4 kids, we didnt want to end up like this but unfortunately it has happend, can anyone give me some info on what happens next by them and what i can do to refuse, i know basically the bulk of the items im just finishing off interest and the cooker we have has the biggest amount on which im happy to send back, i read there website and they say any probs to ring and we did and they basically werent interested, so now we are fretting over what is going to happen next with this, thanks for your time

Hiya,
I don't know much about the exact powers they have but personally we've had trouble with perfect homes in the past.
After my Mum fell ill and out of work, she struggled to pay on a TV from there and although never missing a payment for ages they came down hard and wanted payments, administration fees etc when she asked for help.
After seeking advice the best bit of advice we were given was that it's not illegal to be in debt. If you can't come to an agreeable amount with them (with perfect homes I know exactly why) then I'd suggest visiting nationaldebtline they contacted Perfect Homes for us and had them schedule a new plan and froze interest on the payments. That was only because the TV we had from them had broken but it was our fault, if the items you have are still recoverable I don't know if they can just take it.Pay off debt before XMAS 2014 Challenge Accepted!

We have tried the reduced payment options there not interested at all, like we had to get the washer fixed off them and indesit came out and said this was never brand new as the serial code showed it was 2yr old beforeus buying it and he had to replace the whole inside of it and when I told them they weren't bothered0

I know they wont help and this was why I Asked on my rights as I aint letting them in0

dont let them in and if you have kids make sure they dont either(put a door chain where they cant reach),now get in touch with CAB in the morning and get definitive advice on your rights, they may even talk to them for you and make them call the dogs off
good luck0 -
hi woodbine, ive no intentions letting them in and im going to be speaking to cab or a solicitor for advice on this, ive been told they wont do anything forceful and been told to tell them i,ll see them in court as apparently they dont like going to court as the judges make them out to be bullies and preying on the vulnerable to get more stuff etc and usually tell them to get lost,0
