Hi all,
Someone I know has just received a PCN from VCS so am helping them with their challenge.
I helped someone else with a challenge back in June 2013 in which they received back acknowledgement of their challenge from VCS but they are still awaiting anything further from VCS.
I am therefore assuming that VCS will not be pursuing this any further?
I have done a search on the forum and cannot find much on VCS appeals etc. Has anyone got experience of them recently?
In the meantime I intend to use the template provided by Coupon-mad on the newbies page, rather than the one I sent back in June 2013, but leaving out the bit about "if alleging 'contractual fee'" as I don't think it relevant in this challenge as no fee was required to park in the car park only a time limit.
The PCN was only received today so will wait for forum members comments before emailing VCS.
Regards
Paddy

Ah stupid me didn't search very well.
Will now have a good read through all the recent post about VCS0 -
But just because you've had a ticket from vcs it doesn't mean other threads are not relevant, you should be taking in what the first few pages of this forum says, most will apply to you. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

..and the NEWBIEs thread so you know how to appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Stroma I didnt get proof of postage.
I sent the challenge by e-mail and in the e-mail said I would follow it up in the post.
I got an e-mail acknowledgement from them.0 -
That's fine, just send it with a free proof of postage from the post office, and keep the receipt, I advice taking a photo of it just in case it's mislaidWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Hi All.
Just to let you know the RK has just received the appeal rejection and therefore is moving onto the POPLA appeal stage.
In the rejection letter the PPC refers to a court case (just going to read up on these), as well as giving reasons against all the other points mentioned in the challenge letter.
There is a POPLA verification code on the letter and on checking the parking cowboy code checker have to have an appeal in near the end of May, so no rush yet.
Just register the appeal on the POPLA website stating details to be supplied later. Am now going to refresh my memory with all the POPLA appeals on here and once it is in draft form will be back for further advice.
Paddy
PS Have revisited this car park and have photo and video evidence that at least one of the signs was/is missing at the time of the event should I mention this in the POPLA appeal with regards to maintenance of the site?0
