Mortgage credit question

Hi guys i have an ongoing remortgage on my 2 bed flat, its passed the credit check and valuation done its just with the solicitrs at the moment.
My question is im after a loan i don't want this to affect anything do you think its safe to get one now or wait until its completed. I know having a loan before i applied it would affect how much mortgage they would give to me(i can afford everything ive budgeted everything). The mortgage company wont check if im made any credit applications just before completing will they.
