Shoosmiths Solicitors

I have ccj against me from a Tesco loan. Tesco have since sold onto Shoosmiths. I made a payment today and was asked by the assistant if the repayment was affordable. I was then told they would review the payments in 6 months time. If I had said the that the repayment was not affordable, do you think they would have lowered the payment even tho it was set in court. I have been repaying this for several years now. I would be grateful for your views please.

  • They might be flexible to the amount you can afford since you are a new client to them, and they want to keep the money coming in. Perhaps write in a couple of months and ask if they would accept a lower repayment for six months. Most people on this forum would advise to only communicate with them in writing.
