Childcare Voucher Query

Hi, hope someone can help. I’m claiming child care vouchers at £124 a month as the person setting it up said I was a higher rate tax payer. Before salary sacrifices (additional pension and childcare vouchers) I was on £37K/pa which I didn’t realise classed me a higher rate tax payer. This would mean I only qualify for £124/month in childcare vouchers instead of £243/month.

I thought higher rate tax started at £41,450 but HMRC’s website appears to show it as £32,010.

Please can someone confirm that I’m not a higher rate taxpayer and I am entitled to the higher amount of childcare vouchers?

As you can tell, neither I nor the person setting up the childcare voucher scheme is a financial expert.

If it makes any difference my wife is on about £29K and claims the £243/month.
