Referred to underwriters because of notice of correction

Options
Just been into lloyds to do a mortgage application for the local lend a hand scheme that requires a 5% deposit (although we're going to put down 6%). We couldn't submit full application because a note came up on the system saying notice of correction held on both our reports so needs to be sent to the underwriters. This was put on my partners report because EE have linked him to an incorrect address where he has never lived and my partner is disputing this through experian. It also said i had a notice of correction on my report when i dont.

Does anyone know whether it also says notice of correction on my report because me and my partner are financially linked? (Joint bank account)

Also, does anyone know whether the underwriters will see this linked address as a problem?

We can't proceed with the application until we hear back from the underwriters, so worried!

A NoC means it has to be done manually, so you'll have to wait and see what the human beings come back with.

No idea why it thinks there's one on both files, but as it can't proceed if there's one it doesn't really matter.

What did the person you were dealing with in the branch say would happen?

She took a copy of my partners credit file as it showed the incorrect linked address. Then said she'd call us once she's heard back and if its all ok can arrange another appointment to proceed with application.

Ah well, not much any of us can add to that.

FWIW I would have been getting the provider to get that linked address off the file, rather than adding that NoC. They are often more trouble than they are worth.

Just got a call from the MA, underwriters have said its all ok and can continue. Phew! Valuation is being instructed today. Do you know whether it will then have to go back to underwriters again once the valuation has been carried out? Sorry for all the questions, not sure how this all works.
