Wedding gift ideas

Hi all,
I need major help!!!!!!!!
I am going to a wedding in a month's time, my friend is marrying a very wealthy man (we're talking squillions, yachts, Lambourgini's etc).
She has said that she doesn't want any presents as they already have everything they want but she is a very caring person and I know she would appreciate something thoughtful. The other thing to mention, they aren't your conventional couple, they're pretty wacky so would appreciate something off the wall
So, what do I get? The budget is up to £100.
Ideas I have had- oxfam unwrapped- buying a hairy yak ?!?
Or having two trees planted for them.
Ayone got any other ideas?

I would go with the yak idea or maybe adopting/sponsoring an animal at their local zoo/wildlife centre esp one of those where you can get to be a keeper for a day!0

What about buying them a star named after them? A friend of mine did this, its not very expensive and quite quirky! Sorry don't know what the website is but am sure somebody on here will know.0 -
With friends who have this much money, personally, I would ensure that a charity benefits in some way...
How about sponsoring a child for them for the year? That way they can keep in touch with the child and get updates on progress they have made. After the year, they would probably (and hopefully) continue the sponsorship on.0 -
I read somewhere that Spike Milligan once gave his very rich friend J Paul Getty Jr (who often contributed to worthy causes with which Spike was involved) a glass-fronted picture frame containing a pound note and the inscription "In case of emergency, break glass".
Since your friend and her hubby-to-be have everything they need, I'd say your main choices are either a charitable gift as suggested, or something humorous and/ or so quirky it would never have occurred to them to buy it for themselves. You can find a few whacky gift ideas on www.iwantoneofthose.com. I rather like these, and these look great fun!0 -

If you wanted to give them something along side a charitable gift, how about a memory box. You just put things in relevant to the day eg: that days newspaper, magazine, the number one cd, 2007 coins etcMember 105 of 1% at a time - 23/100 :j0

I think people prefer something that will create a lasting memory for them. What will really mean alot to them? Ie. tickets to a show, flights to a romantic capital city, day out ticket to London (get on the London eye), hot air ballooning trip etc
You can always go down the charitable angle, but it isn't especially personal and not everyone is that receptive to it.0 -
Good Gifts are great - http://www.goodgifts.org/goodgifts/ - as they send a card with a picture of the gift & your personal message with a red envelope to you within 48hrs of ordering. I bought my DF a hedge for Valentines Day, a ewe (as in "I love ewe"!) for our anniversary & a stake in a cocoa bean farm for Easter (well he said he didn't want an egg...!). They have a wide range of prices & are funny as well as practical to the beneficiary2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
