Mortgage to purchase Freehold

Hi All,
Back in Oct-13 myself and the other leaseholder in our build received a section 5 notice from the freeholder offer us the freehold. 50% for me and 50% for the other leaseholder. The other leaseholder has declined the offer and the freeholder has now offered the whole freehold to me.
Since then I have been trying to raise the finance to purchase the freehold. I have tried my existing lender and also lots of other mortgage providers but have been unable to raise the amount required.
Does anybody know of a mortgage provider that would provide a loan to purchase just the freehold with the freehold as sercurity or any lender who could finance this?
I have searched hi and lo and would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.
