Clarke Willmott transfer from MB and IPA

Hi,
Had a nice letter from Clarke Willmott taking over from Moon Beever the IPA I have, all good and no worries apart from;

The payment schedule they have printed on the letter has payments running through to February 2015, the last one being a slightly less amount to add up to the total they say I have left to pay, I am ok with the amount they say I have to pay and owe in total but the issue is that I went BR in August 2012, the first IPA payment was November 2012, therefore does my IPA not run until at least August 2015 or more likely November 2015?

The new boys on the block say I finish paying in February 2015.

    Hi,

    The normal rule is that an IPA will run for 3 years from when it starts, but it doesn't HAVE to - Are you aware of any reason why they have agreed a shorter time scale?
    Probably a mistake on their part.

  • There is no reason for them to change it, I am in full time employment etc, no house or other major assets though.

    Will check how much I have paid them but it is possible that I overpaid for a couple of months as the IPA was reduced from £357 to £115, but that would struggle to cover three months off the three years let alone the 8 it looks like they are.

    So as I thought a mistake on their part, will call them and see how they got the figures, if they say I have completed by February my payments and the IPA is finished do they give me some form of letter to say this?

    Was expecting to carry on paying the £115 until November 2015.
