Thank you SRT81, that sounds more hopeful! I'll wait a while and see what they do next. They can't really say I haven't tried. InvernessIron hope you get it sorted out.Member 116 2 pound savers club:) 167 virtual sealed pot challenge:j0

Thank you, at least now there seems to be a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. Ideally once I have paid them off, I can start investing some money and building up a bank.
I contacted QuickQuid last night, yet to hear back, but hopefully with me persuing them for a payment plan, they will finally agree.0 -
Spoke with QuickQuid last night and they advised that they cannot do anything for me until the due date of payment has passed. So I am going to incur a charge for missing the payment, but from there, I will hopefully be able to set up a plan.0

Well they can like it or lump it really. I'd put your suggestion in writing so they can't conveniently forget you phoned. Just in case they try anything funny and claim you haven't contacted them etc. Keep writing letters each month. By the time they decide that maybe they do want to set up a payment plan you'll be well on the way to having Quid or pounds to pocket cleared so in theory should be able to start with a small amount but then pay them back at a much quicker rate after June/July.

How much can I save in 2012 challenge
75/1200 :eek:0 -
I'd start by cutting up the CCs and, once they have been cleared, closing the accounts.
BTW. When you say you earn around £1100 per month, is that gross?0 -
Ok, really worried now.
Had my payments come off that I expected, however QuickQuid have taken £234. The due date for payment wasn't meant to be until the 28th. I was going to put the remainder of my money in my saving account.
This is really going to cause me problems, I didn't think they'd be able to take the money 2 days early.
Feel somewhat sick.0 -
If they took the money on the wrong day it is an unauthorised transaction and if the company will not pay it back I think that the bank will have to. Also you need to cancel continuous payment authorisation and cancel your card to stop them getting money out if you are arranging a repayment plan.Member 116 2 pound savers club:) 167 virtual sealed pot challenge:j0

Why would you want to put the money in a savings account though? Surely paying off a 5000% interest loan is better than saving at 1%.
I've been in the same position as yourself, felt physically with worry and know looking back I made the wrong choices!
My advice would be to admit you have problems, which you've made a start by coming here and seeking help. The next step would be to speak with your parents, explain to them fully the situation you've found yourself in, admitting the error of your ways and ask for their assistance by letting you put off paying them the £100 a month for the short term. At best they may offer further assistance at worst they will say no, I'm sure most parents would do what they can to help, but I know some can't.
Next step would be to create a budget, of essential items only! The only way I got out of my situation was several months of very tight months, didn't go out didn't really have a life, but I was a million times happier because I wasn't laid in bed every night with money worries. Every spare penny you have each month should go into paying towards a debt.0 -
Might be drastic but what I did with my PDLs was go back to a dormant account I had from when I was young and get my wages etc. paid into it (basically made that my main account). I'm now in control of payments of my agreed repayments with my PDL's.
Although Wonga have been strange. Set up a payment, all fine and dandy but once I logged into my account on their website, the payments were starting 1st April and every 1st of each month thereafter and I had agreed with them that it would be the end of each month! Gave them a call and the guy says he can't do anything with it until I miss the payment and then re-organise a repayment schedule via the website but I'm slightly worried in doing that!0 -
Wonga were a pain in the backside to deal with when I got into trouble.
Just a thought, but is there any chance of offering them a full and final settlement to get them off your back?
My balance with Wonga is £798, got them to accept 50% of that to settle the account!0
