Just having a look into this. I really want to start writing, I LOVED English at school just don't know but looking at this and knowing I could make a few extra pennies too ... it could be the way forward :)

One question though...and it may sound silly but can you just write about anything?? :rotfl:

How are you guys getting on? I'm a little sceptical about the pay outs..

If you love writing I would just give it a go.

My honest opinion? The vast majority of content is thoroughly poor and not worth reading. The simple reason is that you get paid on people reading and sharing it, not exactly requiring quality writing.

So I'd guess all you need to do is write often, connect with as many people as possible and get popular, then you should succeed. It makes money from advertising so is more interested in you spending time on the site with your/other people's articles than the quality so it is a great way to get back into writing and then who cares about the money its a bonus if it comes!

Thousands of people from around write about anything - often completely awful content - and then get paid not on the quality of the writing but the amount of people that view their articles or the connections they make.

Most of the good I see is where people have found an article online and put it into their own words. But for every good one there are five on

'be awesome' which is then an unreadable article

    or

    'isn't it sunny today'

If you want to be writing, go for it, if you want to be reading then this isn't the site for you. Also don't be frustrated when your good articles get massively outperformed by useless ones, its probably not you, its probably the flawed system.

Yeah, it's all about connections not content. I've seen people making several dollars per post, where the English is so broken that you can see it's gone through a translator, then been pasted across.

Whilst a lot of the content is poor, it is not necessarily the case that those "authors" get paid. It is a simple format for self expression and to make a few quid and if you get a hot post you can earn well for a little effort. My best post made $20 from Google traffic.

just added you just a thought remember to put picture by me/username if you prefer or pixabay. you have to put credit where it comes from or they might not payout.

Hey all, Just read this thread last night while in bed and thought I'd check it out once downstairs on my proper comp. I think it looks really interesting. Lots of dross on there but I bet I can find some people to follow who are interesting.

I've posted twice (prob not very interesting) taking inspiration from the photos on my phone. I am choosing a pic then writing a bit about it, whatever it is. It's a pain having to resize the pic each time though.

I am Katinkia on there and would appreciate any feedback. Will have a look through all yours too.

These days I'm lurking on this thread and rarely commenting unless I can answer a question.

I still love Bubblews. I am BellaDoc there.

I always seem to get lots of connections throughout the night and morning. Even when I haven't posted since the night before. Up to 250 now and the more I get, the more my earnings speed up :)

Nothing amazing yet, only at 10 dolla.
